- “Eight Men Out” by Eliot Asinof
- “Highpockets” by John R. Tunis
- “The Glory of Their Times” by Lawrence S. Ritter
- “Veeck as in Wreck” by Bill Veeck
Written in 1990, Men at Work is the newest volume on the list.
My favorite baseball books are “Summer of ‘49″ by David Halberstam and “Ball Four” by Jim Bouton.
